Home Education Admission Policy/Process/Procedure
(Last Updated 2008-05-27)

Olds College has adjusted its admissions requirements with the hopes that Home Educated and Home Schooled students can apply as an "Alternate Student Status". Admissions requirements for Animal Health Technology and Equine Science programs have also been adjusted allowing above mentioned students to meet the specific course requirements without necessarily having a high school diploma.

Home Educated students should be prepared to provide a complete portfolio outlining the subjects taken and the content of the subjects so that an evaluation can take place by Olds College to determine if the necessary content has been covered.

Olds College offers academic upgrading for those home educated or home schooled students who may want to complete specific courses required by programs through this venue.

Please see specific program information on the Olds College website www.oldscollege.ca for detailed admissions requirements.
