Home Education Admission Policy/Process/Procedure

Gardner College welcomes home schooled and home educated students. Students must be at least 17 years of age at the beginning of the semester for which they are applying. Applicants will need to demonstrate grade 12 equivalency and/or academic readiness for college through ONE of the following methods:

1. Provincially examined senior course results. (Provincial transcripts).

2. Transcript from home school association or supervising school board.

3. One of the following:
-acceptable college entrance test scores (SAT - 900 or ACT - 20)
-GED (General Education Diploma)
-other provincially or federally recognized achievement test scores

4. Personal Interview and presentation of portfolio with written assignments. Applicants providing this information for entrance will be evaluated on an individual basis.


All applicants must provide a completed application form, health questionnaire, dorm application (if applicable), deposit, and three references.
