Home Education Admission Policy/Process/Procedure
(Last Updated 2006-12-05)
The applicant must be a graduate of high school or have a grade 12 equivalency and is at least 17 years of age. Mature students who have not graduated from grade 12 and who are 21 years of age or older may apply and will be assessed for admission on an individual basis. Home schooled students are encouraged to apply to LFBC. You must supply a transcript that details subjects studied throughout your high school years. Each home schooled student is assessed on a individual basis.
We require either a transcript issued by an outside body from whom the student recieved courses through (i.e Bob Jones University, Abeka, School of Hope, etc.)
If the student has been entirely home educated without any curriculum or outside governance, LFBC requires a writing sample (essay) of the students recent work, and a transcript from the parent detailing the last 2 years of study. The student may also submit a grade 12 equivalency (GED).
