Home Education Admission Policy/Process/Procedure

Directives are intended for students who lack Alberta Programs of Study Accreditation and serve only as guidelines when seeking or preparing for admission equivalents (alternatives) to Alberta 30 level requirements.
Specific admission requirements vary with programs.
The basic entrance requirement for Academy Canada programs is High School, Adult Basic Education or GED completion. Applicants who do not have their high school diploma can gain admission as a Mature Student if they are 19 years of age or older. Mature students will have an Admissions interview and write the Canadian Adult Achievement Test (CAAT). Check with your Admissions Officer for details.
Several programs have additional requirements such as medical certificates, conduct certificates or a minimum grade in specific high school courses.
